Here Comes the SUN!
Every year, as soon as spring weather hits Belize, things begin to heat up a little. My skin gains a rosy sun-touched look, mornings are getting warmer and sunnier at earlier hours, the sun is scorching hotter in the afternoons, and then setting in brighter hues of pinks and oranges in the evenings.. I find myself living every spare moment I have, either IN or NEAR water.
Whether it swimming and lounging fully in water, or simply barbecuing or enjoying a few drinks with friends near the water, there is nothing more refreshing when you're feeling a little sun-baked, than diving into the cold water of a creek, river, blue hole, ocean, or nearby pool. We've decided to launch into these warmer months a little more prepped with a.) So, on these hot and sunny days, when all I want to do is lay beside a pool or creek, soaking up the water and sun.. I remind myself of the following quote : “Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” ―John Lubbock, The Use Of Life
